Steel industry

The meeting was convened by the Luxembourg presidency to discuss the situation of the steel industry, which suffers from weak demand, falling metal prices and job losses.

The EU is the second largest producer of steel in the world after China.

The meeting will kick off at 16:30 and will be followed by a working dinner.
