On behalf of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Minister for Immigration and Asylum Jean Asselborn convenes an extraordinary “Justice and Home Affairs” Council on 9 November 2015 in Brussels.
Bearing in mind the deterioration of the situation on the ground, this JHA Council intends to reinforce and to operationalize the european response, to guarantee the follow up and implementation of measures decided so far and if appropriate to decide new measures.
The Minister for Immigration and Asylum Jean Asselborn will continue his visits on the ground and his contacts with his counterparts and with institutional actors.
