On behalf of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Minister for Immigration and Asylum, Jean Asselborn convenes an extraordinary "Justice and Home Affairs" Council on 22 September 2015 in Brussels.
This extraordinary JHA Council intends to provide the follow up of the meeting of 14 September. On this occasion, the Presidency wants the Council to adopt a Decision on a provisional mechanism for the relocation of 120.000 persons in need of international protection from Member States exposed to massive migratory flows.
The Minister for Immigration and Asylum Jean Asselborn will continue his consultations with his counterparts ahead of the meeting of 22 September.
