In the context of the discussions on the regulation proposals on veterinary medicines and on medicated feeds, the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council, the European Commission and the European Federation for Animal Health and Sanitary Security (FESASS) invite to the international conference "Farmers and veterinarians together to tackle antimicrobial resistances”.
The antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a significant global animal and human health threat. In the Union, the European Institutions and the Member States lead public action plans to reduce this threat. Collectively and individually, farmers and veterinarians, fully aware of the risks, work together toward the same goal. Their professional organizations developed specific programs, often in partnership with public authorities. It is essential to learn from these concrete actions.
This international conference will provide a valuable exchange platform on the progress made in the frame of the Commission’s 5-Year Action Plan on AMR and will seek to promote effective partnerships
