    Europa Quiz: www.europaquiz.lu

    As part of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Centre virtuel de la connaissance sur l’Europe (CVCE) has initiated the CVCE Europa Quiz: www.europaquiz.lu. Throughout the Presidency, from 3 July to 31 December 2015, those interested will have the opportunity to participate in the competition. Each day they will be asked a question on a Europe-related topic. A host of prizes are to be won!

    Key facts and figures about the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union

    Luxembourg will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the twelfth time in the second semester of 2015. The Luxembourg Presidency will hold 237 meetings between July and December 2015, including 21 ministerial meetings. There will be 67 meetings in September alone! In total, there are 26,816 participants and 6,875 delegations expected at 37 different sites across the country.

    Meeting of the High Level Group on Education and Training in Luxembourg-Kirchberg (18.06.2015 - 19.06.2015)

    The first event marking the start of the 2015 Luxembourg Presidency brought together the EU High Level Group on Education and Training in Luxembourg-Kirchberg from 18 to 19 June 2015. At the centre of the discussions was education as a pre-requisite for the promotion of social inclusion, through the creation of new jobs and encouraging the active participation of all citizens within society.

    Free Wi-Fi throughout the Luxembourg Presidency

    From June 2015 to January 2016, the Luxembourg government, in partnership with the City of Luxembourg and the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, offers free internet access in the territories of their respective cities, via the Wi-Fi HOTCITY network.

    Postal stamp — Special 'Presidency' edition

    As for the last Luxembourg Presidency in 2005, the Post will launch again a special edition of 'Presidency' postage stamps on 1 July 2015. This stamp will bear the logo of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It is mainly in the colours of the Luxembourg flag.
